In order to implement the outcomes of the China-Central Asia Summit and actively practice the China-Central Asia Spirit, the Secretariat of the China-Central Asia Transport Infrastructure Talent Development Alliance recently held talks with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan. Both sides jointly discussed the high-level advancement of the construction of the China-Uzbekistan Transportation College.

During the talks, the delegation provided a detailed briefing on the latest progress and next-step work plans regarding the College’s discipline development, talent cultivation, and enrollment promotion. The China-Uzbekistan Transportation College will closely align with Uzbekistan's current urgent needs in the infrastructure sector. It will increase investment specifically in fields such as civil engineering, architecture, and road and bridge engineering, prioritizing the establishment of relevant majors to cultivate high-quality infrastructure professionals urgently needed by Uzbekistan. The College is committed to high-standard development, strengthening the collaborative education mechanism with Uzbek universities to foster interdisciplinary international talents.
Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Mr. Salomov, expressed high appreciation for the rapid development and pragmatic efforts of the China-Uzbekistan Transportation College. He pointed out that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to cooperation with China in higher education and scientific innovation, and that the College stands as a significant achievement of this bilateral partnership. The Uzbek side is willing to work with China to fully support the high-standard construction of the College. Uzbekistan will provide strong support in areas such as policy coordination, resource allocation, and industry-academia-research integration, aiming to build the College into a model of China-Uzbekistan educational and technological cooperation.
As the Deputy Minister overseeing scientific and technological cooperation in Uzbekistan, Mr. Salomov emphasized that he hopes both sides will, within the framework of the China-Central Asia Transport Infrastructure Talent Development Alliance, jointly promote S&T cooperation and technological leadership. He expressed a desire to elevate the level of bilateral scientific cooperation and achieve more pragmatic results in the field of scientific and technological innovation.
