From May 20 to 22, the 3rd China-Uzbekistan Local Cooperation Forum was held in Xi'an. Professor Fan Wen, Vice President of our university, led a delegation to attend multiple events, including the China-Uzbekistan Science and Technology Innovation and Green Development Cooperation Forum, the China-Uzbekistan Education Cooperation Exhibition, and the Silk Road International Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation Achievement Exhibition. Our international student representatives performed at the forum's opening ceremony.
During the forum, Mr. Salomov, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, met with our delegation. The two sides held in-depth discussions on key issues such as the high-quality advancement of the China-Uzbekistan Transport Institute, the cultivation of international exceptional engineers, the construction of think tank platforms, and cooperation in scientific and technological innovation. Both parties expressed their willingness to continuously deepen the collaborative education mechanism between Chinese and Uzbek universities and to build the China-Uzbekistan Transport Institute into a model for China-Uzbekistan educational and scientific cooperation.

As the chairman unit of the China-Central Asian Talent Training Alliance in the Field of Transportation Infrastructure (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance), our university, together with high-quality Alliance member units such as the National Design Institute of Uzbekistan, China Railway 20th Bureau Group, and the First Railway Survey and Design Institute of China Railway, jointly promoted the co-construction of the Uzbekistan Transport Connectivity Research Center. As the latest achievement in the Alliance's think tank platform construction, this research center was unveiled at the 3rd China-Uzbekistan Local Cooperation Forum.

In the future, this research center will integrate and promote mutual growth with the China-Uzbekistan Transport Institute, continuously optimize cooperation models under the Alliance framework, and jointly build an integrated system of talent cultivation + scientific research + achievement transformation, so as to continuously promote the deep integration of hard connectivity, soft connectivity, and people-to-people connectivity in the transport sector between China and Uzbekistan.
