To deepen China-Uzbekistan educational cooperation in transportation and broaden the global horizons of international students, Chang'an University organized a delegation of 100 Chinese and international students to visit BYD on June 25. The New Automotive innovation and entrepreneurship labor education practice activity was jointly organized by the School of Automobile, the International Education College, and the China-Uzbekistan Transportation College.
During the visit to the BYD exhibition hall, faculty and students listened attentively to guides, gaining systematic insights into the company's development history. The group observed core technological achievements such as the Blade Battery and DM-i Super Hybrid technology, and experienced firsthand innovative platforms including the Yunnan intelligent body control system and Yi Si Fang (quad-motor independent drive) technology.
BYD vehicles are very common on the streets of Uzbekistan; seeing this familiar brand here feels very special, said Bakht, an Uzbek student from the China-Uzbekistan Transportation College, after experiencing the smart cockpit. Through this visit, I gained a deep understanding of core technologies like battery safety. I hope to bring China's advanced battery management experience and intelligent transportation concepts back to my homeland to contribute to infrastructure development there.
Zhang, a Vehicle Engineering major from the School of Automobile, noted that the exchange with Uzbek students was highly rewarding. They showed great interest in how new energy vehicles perform in complex terrains like deserts and mountainous regions. Their questions provided us with fresh perspectives on automotive design and allowed us to truly appreciate the significance of talent exchange under the 'Belt and Road' initiative.
This practical activity integrated professional teaching, labor education, and international exchange, effectively broadening students' industry perspectives and enhancing friendships among Chinese and international participants. Moving forward, the International Education College and the China-Uzbekistan Transportation College will continue to deepen university-enterprise cooperation, organizing more industry visits and practical activities to improve talent cultivation quality. These efforts aim to supply more interdisciplinary transportation professionals for the China-Central Asia Transport Infrastructure Talent Training Alliance.
